About us
A new move can be daunting, often a mix of excitement, opportunity, and challenges. New country/city, cultures, people, rules, norms, etc.. this group aims to create a diverse and inclusive community of newcomers, and offers a safe space for discussion and potentially new friendships. Imagine how cool it’d be to grow together in a new country, and check in on how we are adjusting to our new home! I’ve done these types of moves before (once in UK as a Masters student, once before as a professional in PNG) and now here in NZ/ Auckland as an early 30s professional! Types of events in the group would usually include exploring the city (from cafés to neighbourhoods to attractions), quiet gatherings that enable conversations, dinners, drinks, sports, parties, and more! OPEN TO ALL - students, professionals, travelers, spouses! Age no bar.
