About us

New Roots Social Community is a warm, inclusive space for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, their families, and anyone seeking meaningful connection. As a parent of a 23‑year‑old autistic adult, I created this group to build real community — not just services, but friendships, social opportunities, and supportive circles where everyone feels seen.
We welcome parents, caregivers, adults with disabilities, singles, Christian members, newcomers to the area, and anyone who values kindness, patience, and shared experiences.

Our meetups include:

• Social hangouts for adults with autism and IDD
• Parent & caregiver support circles
• Faith‑friendly gatherings for those who want Christian‑aligned community
• Singles‑friendly meetups with no pressure, just connection
• Outdoor adventures like hiking, paddling, nature walks
• Day trips & local outings to explore the area together
• Community‑building activities where friendships grow naturally

This group is for anyone who wants to plant new roots — to build friendships, find support, create joyful experiences, and help our loved ones thrive socially. Whether you’re a parent, a single adult, a caregiver, or someone simply looking for a welcoming community, you belong here.

Let’s grow something meaningful together.
