Hi folks,
Newbies, whether locals, expats or masters/doctoral level students, are the most disadvantaged group in any city. They find it hard to tap into the local community. As a consequence, they feel lonely and never get to enjoy their lives outside of work or study.
I am creating this group so that we can socialize together by organizing events such as potluck dinners, hikes, Friday drinks, cinemas, and so on.
I believe there is a sizeable group of people who are in their late 20s to early 40s and looking for such an initiative.
Also, this group will be for socializing purpose only, and not intended to be a dating forum.
About me:
Having lived in New Zealand for 8 years, I am new to Hamilton myself. Before that, I have studied and worked in Norway where I got the opportunity to meet people from over 70 countries.
I am originally from Pakistan, and speak Urdu, English and Hindi. I am a Business Analyst by profession. I love to socialize and meet people from different cultures.
