Music Creator Mental Health Support Group: Seen But Not Signed
·OnlineOnlineThis event will be Virtual Only. Due to protective measures, we've moved these meetups into our HOME community app. Once you click through to join us, you'll be asked to create your FREE Account in the HOME App to join the meetup.
For many independent music creators, recognition comes without traction.
Visibility without follow‑through. Praise without opportunity. It can leave you questioning your work, your timing, and sometimes your worth. You get the nod.
The repost.
The meeting that feels promising.
The compliment that lands just hard enough to raise your expectations.
And then… nothing moves. This session of the Music Creator Mental Health Support Group creates space to talk honestly about that in‑between place. The one where you know you’re doing something right, but the door hasn’t opened yet.
Together, we’ll explore:
- The emotional impact of near‑misses and industry validation that stalls
- How hope and disappointment can coexist in creative careers
- The difference between being seen and being supported
- Ways to stay grounded, motivated, and self‑directed when momentum feels unclear
This conversation centers on resilience without denial and clarity without self‑blame. It invites creators to process frustration, protect their confidence, and reconnect with their own definition of progress in an industry that rarely explains its decisions.
This online support group is a confidential, come-as-you-are space for music creators to talk about the pressures we carry, listen if that’s what we need, and find solidarity with others who understand. You are welcome to share, or simply sit in quiet community. This is not a therapy session.
All participants agree to a confidentiality statement. What’s shared in the session stays in the session.
This session is offered free to the public thanks to HOME – Helping Our Music Evolve and the Helping Music Foundation. If you’re able, consider making a donation to help keep these gatherings available to the creators who rely on them.

Meet My Music: Virtual Studio Hang
·OnlineOnline>> Share your sound. Find your people.
Meet My Music is where you share your music, talk about your creative process, and find collaborators who take music seriously.
HOME’s A&R Team listens with intention. They’re looking for Homies to invite into writing rooms and sync-focused sessions. This is your chance to make that connection. This session is open to members and non-members.
Whether you’re a producer, songwriter, artist, or industry rep, you belong here. Every voice adds to the momentum. If you’ve been building something, share it. If you’re between projects, come for the inspiration.
The format is casual. The impact is real.
A note on music share time: We can’t guarantee everyone will have the chance to play a song. Arrive early and have a streaming link ready (no file uploads). If the queue fills up, stay engaged. The insight you gain from hearing others, the feedback exchanged, and the support you show still count. Listening with intention builds community and makes you a better creator.
RSVP, come through, and make your presence count.
Please join this event HERE. Due to protective measures, we've moved these meetups into our HOME community app. Once you click through to join us, you'll be asked to create your FREE Account in the HOME App to join the hang! See you soon!

Meet My Music: Virtual Studio Hang & Sync Deconstruction
·OnlineOnline>> Sync isn’t guesswork. There are patterns. There are decisions that move the needle.
This session is built to help you see them... and use them.In this two-part experience, Mimi McCarley will guide creators through a hands-on look at what makes a sync placement work and how to sharpen your own music with sync potential in mind.
>> Part One: Sync Deconstruction
We’ll break down a real sync placement from top to bottom. Arrangement, tone, dynamics, lyrics, tempo, mix. You’ll hear what mattered most and why it landed. Learn what serves the scene, supports the story, and earns the placement. No trend-chasing required.>> Part Two: Member Track Workshop
Active HOME members only, this is your chance to bring a song in progress. Something you think could work for sync. We’ll listen, dissect, and offer feedback grounded in what we just learned. The goal is creative clarity: shape your song into something placement-ready.>> Register and RSVP if you want to:
- Observe the sync breakdown and learn from real-world examples
- Understand what supervisors and licensors are listening for
- Watch how songs are reshaped in real time to better fit the brief
Only active HOME members can submit music, but the session is open to the public. For security purposes, everyone must register through the Zoom link.
Please RSVP and join this event HERE.

Women's Music Industry Support Group: Holding Both
HOME - Helping Our Music Evolve, 615 Main St g1, Nashville, TN, USSometimes you’re building something professionally while your personal life is quietly rearranging itself.
You’re chasing deadlines while grieving. Writing songs while navigating a breakup. Touring while becoming a mother. Starting over in a new city. Caring for someone else. Relearning who you are.
This month, we’re talking about how to hold both. The career you care deeply about and the life that is shifting underneath you.
How do we pursue meaningful work without pretending life isn’t happening? How do we adjust expectations when our capacity changes? What does ambition look like in a season that feels tender, uncertain, or new?
The Women’s Music Industry Support Group is a monthly, confidential gathering for women across all corners of the music industry to connect, reflect, and support one another.
This gathering is about naming what’s real. About releasing the pressure to be unaffected. About supporting one another as whole humans, not just professionals. To support that, all participants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement, ensuring that what’s shared in the room remains private.
>> For location and parking information, please visit homeformusic.org/location.
