I lead several walks from this starting point and I last did this one in February 2023.
A flat 5 to 5.5 mile circular walk that goes through some open fields and arrives at the Wey navigation. Here we walk along it towards Send and then we cross a couple of bridges onto open space and meet the River Wey. As we follow this along we get a glimpse of Woking Palace which is now not too impressive. It is then onto Papercourt lock which is very impressive and back to the start via a farm, some more countryside and Papercourt lake. Overall, a nice relaxing walk and as normal, the sun makes it glorious.
NO DOGS PLEASE.
You can call me on 07395004461 if you are late or lost and you should be able to catch up if you are a few minutes late.
Parking is on the roads around the area but only a few spaces available on Send Marsh Road. Polesden Lane, where we meet has some space, otherwise Tuckey Grove which is near the Saddlers Arms pub is probably best so arrive a few minutes early to find your parking spot.
I hope to see some of you here.
Mike
