About us

Our club meets every Tuesday Night in New Westminster (location varies) Our meetings are 1.5 hours, 6pm to 7;30pm and consist of prepared speeches, impromptu speaking sessions, and constructive evaluations.
It is a great opportunity to make friends and network! Any questions can be emailed to douglastoast@gmail.com

What to expect? Here's a sample agenda:

5:30pm Doors open for networking
6:00pm Sergeant at Arms opens meeting and introduces Chairman for the night
6:15pm-6:24pm Meeting Role introductions - Members that are performing roles in the meeting give a brief description of the role.
6:24pm-6:40pm 2-3 Prepared Speeches. These are speeches prepared by members according to the project they are working on in the "Pathways" education program.6:40 pm-6:50pm Speech Evaluations are presented by the scheduled evaluator
6:50-7:00 Table Topics - Impromptu Speaking Practice. Table Topics master presents questions for members to practice speaking off the cuff.
7:00pm-7:10pm Table Topics evaluator evaluates the Table Topics speakers.
7:10-7:29 Meeting Role Reports and General Evaluator Report - Meeting role reports are presented and the General Evaluator evaluates the meeting.
7: 30pm Meeting adjourned.
