Our day begins at Brotherhood Winery, America’s oldest continuously operating winery. Tucked into hills, its historic stone facades give way to a cool network of underground cellars, where we'll wander beneath centuries old brick vaults and learn how early vintners kept their wines at ideal temperatures long before modern refrigeration. Once we get back to the surface, we will have a chance to taste some of their amazing wines.
From there, swap your wine glass for a paddle at Storm King Adventure Tours on the Hudson River. We'll launch into the river’s gentle current, gliding toward the crumbling ruins of Bannerman Island. Along the way, we'll admire the dramatic cliffs of Storm King Mountain and maybe spot some osprey. As we get close to the island, our guide will share the colorful tale of Francis Bannerman VI’s eccentric arsenal, once housing thousands of surplus military munitions in castle he called home.
We'll have a delicious meal before heading back to NYC
We will meet in the city and travel together in a comfortable passenger van.
The cost of the trip is $155, which includes kayaking tour and wine tasting and cellar tour. If you prefer not to do wine tasting, the cost is $130
