This event has been rescheduled for 8/17.
We'll start by taking a trip to Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, NJ. It is a unique and fascinating destination for anyone interested in geology, history, or just looking for a fun new experience with new friends. Once one of the oldest mines in the United States, Sterling Hill is now a museum where visitors can explore underground tunnels, see glowing fluorescent minerals in the famous Rainbow Tunnel, and learn how miners lived and worked.
After the museum, we’ll make our way to the nearby town of Stanhope to explore Waterloo Village, a restored 19th-century canal town tucked within Allamuchy Mountain State Park. Walking through this peaceful and historic site feels like stepping back in time, with preserved homes, a blacksmith shop, and scenic trails along the Morris Canal.
We'll finish the day with a nice meal together before heading back.
We will meet in the city and travel together in a comfortable passenger van. We will grab breakfast/lunch to go before our first destination and have dinner before heading back.
The cost of the trip is $75, museum tickets included
