The Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights is one of those events that’s just fun to walk through. The whole place transforms into a huge outdoor light festival with giant illuminated animals, lantern trails, music, and themed displays spread across the grounds. It’s easy to explore at your own pace, take photos, grab a warm drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s colorful, lively, and perfect for anyone who likes wandering through big light installations rather than standing in a single spot. The light show is included with the regular admission, so that part’s covered.

If we have the energy, we will head over to the Holiday Train Show at the Botanical Garden after the zoo. This one’s a separate ticket, but it’s worth mentioning because it’s one of NYC’s most iconic holiday events. The exhibit has miniature trains weaving through detailed replicas of New York landmarks, everything made from natural materials like bark, leaves, and branches. It’s indoors, cozy, and surprisingly impressive in person.

We will meet in the city and travel together in a comfortable 15 passenger van.

The cost of the trip is $85, and includes admission tickets to Bronx Holiday Lights
