Join The Active Culture for a day exploring one of the most beautiful parks in the Hudson Valley, with mountain lakes, waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and spectacular fall foliage.
We'll start with a hike to Awosting Falls, a beautiful 60-foot waterfall tucked into the forest. From there, we'll explore the park's scenic carriage roads, including the Sunset Carriage Road, with peaceful forest scenery and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the autumn colors.
We'll also walk around Lake Minnewaska, a stunning mountain lake surrounded by cliffs and colorful trees. It's one of the highlights of the park, with beautiful views and plenty of spots to stop for photos.
Altogether, we'll explore several different parts of the preserve, combining waterfalls, lakes, and scenic woodland walks.
Expect around 4–5 miles of walking throughout the day, mostly on wide carriage roads, with some uphill sections along the way.
After our time in the park, we'll find a place to grab a bite and relax together before heading back to NYC.
We will meet in the city and travel together (transportation provided)
The cost of the trip is $68
