The New York Tango Meetup Group is for people who want to learn and enjoy Argentine tango together in New York City. People who want to take classes in Argentine tango dancing and music and who want to come socialize and dance tango would enjoy this group. We will go to different Argentine tango classes and events together.
Curious about Argentine tango? This beginner series is designed for people who want a clear, welcoming, and supportive introduction to tango- no partner or prior experience needed.
We focus on the essentials that make tango feel good from the start: walking, connection, musicality, and communication. Classes move at a thoughtful pace, with plenty of guidance and repetition so you can build confidence week to week.

Full Evening Schedule

An intermediate class runs after the practica for dancers continuing their tango training.

This intermediate class is for dancers with prior Argentine tango experience who want to refine technique, improve communication, and make simple movements feel more grounded, musical, and connected.
Rather than focusing on flashy steps, we work on connection, quality of movement, and musical interpretation, helping your tango feel better, not just look more complex.
