Purview and the Lineage API – Metadata on Steroids!

• Data Lineage is the holy grail in the data management and reporting world. Purview is showing great promise and is improving at a rapid pace. For those impatient ones of us there is the ability to leverage the Lineage API (Apache Atlas API).
• It helps to understand how the underlying metadata model is designed and in this session we will deep dive into that model, show ways of interacting with the api, surfacing custom lineages and unwrapping some SQL to push up to Purview.

Speaker: Darryl Wolfaardt
Darryl is a Senior Data Architect at Insight and is an experienced end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) consultant.
His BI skills include Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Enterprise Architecture, Solution Design, Data Modelling and ETL Development.
A specific interest in the EIM spectrum is Metadata and Master Data Management.
Darryl has experience implementing BI solutions across many industries, including Utilities, Finance, Agriculture, Media, Insurance and Transport.
