With Drupal 9 very much here now and being used for fresh builds, it's time to touch base again on best practices and technologies for doing front-end.

Like all technologies, front-end frameworks and the ways of using them are constantly changing. What was best practice 5 years ago is no longer - and the Drupal CMS theming layer is no exception.

Come and learn about:

  • headless Drupal, abstracting the back-end / front-ends
  • 'Drupal-as-API' and just using Drupal as a data processing back-end
  • hybrid front-ends that combine approaches and techs
  • use cases for JS front-ends
  • use cases for good'ole fashioned CSS/SASS
  • how other developers and agencies approach their decision making around what to use in a given front-end
  • which theming frameworks are currently favored and being supported in d9

Whether you're a back-end person, a front-ender, or just someone who likes Drupal and likes to be up to the play with trends in web software, come along and have some fun! Free beer and pizza for all thanks to our friends at CATALYST IT and XEQUALS.

If anyone would like to attend remotely, or if any of the other Australasian meetups want to do a content-sharing setting, please just get in touch and we can make it happen.
