What we’re about

Trying to get more games of Mahjong going in Newcastle (UK) and surrounding area.

All main kinds of Mahjong covered - with focus on Hong Kong style and Japanese Riichi rules, and all interests from casual beginners up to competitive tournament play.

There will be plenty of beginner sessions as we build up numbers, so please do consider joining in.

Casual beginners session in Bally's Casino in Newcastle.

We'll stick to the basics, and use old-style Hong Kong rules - which is a very good place to start. Score sheets and numbered tiles will be available, so you don't need to learn Chinese numbers beforehand!

We're already expecting several other beginners, so should be a good & fun session.

Longer term, we're trying to get more regular games going in the Newcastle area and nearby.
