Mahjong beginners session

Let's try to squeeze one more in before the end of January! Informal mahjong session in Stowell St, likely using old-style Hong Kong rules. Start around 5pm and continue whilst there are sufficient players.

Earlier start not a good idea since it's a Newcastle home match that day at 2pm, though the bar usually clears quickly after it.

Please indicate if interested / aiming to attend so we have idea of numbers in advance - thanks.

We'll be off to the side of "Freya's Bar" in the casino. You may see a few tables of Chinese players; we are the other, less confident-looking ones ... using smaller tiles too(!)

For practice in advance, try the "Let's Mahjong in 70s HK Style" app. The "classic" mode is close to the rules we've been using so far.
