2. London FinTech Podcast: Matchmaking Lending and Borrowing with Conrad Ford CEO Funding Options

Conrad was on the show back in LFP020 since when he has built Funding Options (strapline “your free marketplace for business finance”) into one of the most successful London Fintechs. They were chosen as one of three UK government mandated SME Referral Portals, are the largest of those by an order of magnitude, increased revenue fourfold last year, are on target to triple again this year as well as being on target to be the UK’s largest introducer of working capital finance. Funding Options essential task/service is lining up all the many SME borrowers out there with relevant sources of Finance. A task made all the harder by the plethora of lenders and the many types of lending finance available.

Cityzenith is a 15-person software company based in Chicago and London that was created to disrupt the $20 billion AEC software industry and the $30 billion GIS/geospatial analytics industry, both at the same time. From the creators of Google Earth^TM and Eve On-Line^TM, an Aecom Spatial Data Director, and a Sequoia-Capital backed BIM services company, our revolutionary SaaS data platform, Smart World^TM, launched on May 3^rd, and already leading AEC firms Foster & Partners, W.S. Atkins, and Aecom have become commercial users right after launch.

 We are raising $1.5+ million (minimum) in the end of $5.5 Series AA round. We have raised $4 million already from some great investors in the UK as we are EIS compliant, and now that we have launched and have some great early traction it’s time to close the round and scale.

·       OCC files renewed motion to dismiss state regulators’ challenge to fintech company special purpose national bank charter proposal – the OCC essentially says the challenge is premature
