The Emergence of Philosophy

"... from a world fully enveloped in Myth and Narrative and the Sacred... gods & heroes, auspices & Fate...

... to a total reorientation, through the most seismic shift in the History of Humanity..."

This is story of the emergence of Philosophy, from its pre-conceived roots and revolutionary ∅rigin, through the incisive Axes of the Axial-moment, and the Human and Ethical turns, and then the Eclipse, and the long post-Axial continuation up to the Present-day.

An ongoing weekly series of explorations into the arrival of Philosophy 'onto the scene', and a following of the Story of its development and becoming.

Every Monday afternoon, (beginning 19th October), Earthlings, (94 Buckingham St, NE4 5QR):
• from 1pm for food and conversation - there will be a limited amount of Earthling's dahl & rice at £7 a bowl, (though additional contributions are also welcomed, or other purchases from the menu, as this will help to secure our continued use of the room at Earthlings)
• and then the presentation will begin at 2pm

The event will be recorded and live-streamed for those not able to be there in person.
