PHILOSOPHY DISCUSSION GROUP FOR 50+ FOLKS

This week's discussion is a doozy. We've been talking about Zen Buddhism and the Concept of Impermanence (again, NOT impotence, that's another issue). So let's talk about CHAOS THEORY. And BUTTERFLIES that make TORNADOS. And then DETERMINISM. And LaPlace's DEMON! Who wins? YOU DO! Then we go to Happy Hour at El Cholo. What could be better? There is nothing on television at this time. You ALREADY had the oil changed in your car. Did you remember to turn the lights off in the bathroom? You did!

Even though few MeetUp people sign up, we typcally get 20-30 people in the discussion group. Here's the scoop. When you are over 50 years old, lots of weird and strange things happen and it's a great time to think about WHAT IT ALL MEANS.

In this discussion group, we will discuss a variety of philosophy topics, and try to understand how they affect our lives.

This will be low key: lots of talking, not much lecturing, and the concepts will be made easy. It will be FUN! I promise or your money back! Except it's free anyway!

We'll talk about cool things like Plato's allegory of the cave, the Myth of Sisyphus, and ALL SORTS of topics. Ovens will be available so we can BAKE OUR OWN PHILOSOPHY! I mean, conceptually.
