PHILOSOPHY DISCUSSION GROUP FOR 50+ FOLKS

Even though few MeetUp people sign up, we typcally get 20-30 people in the discussion group. Here's the scoop. When you are over 50 years old, lots of weird and strange things happen and it's a great time to think about WHAT IT ALL MEANS.
What: Philosophy Discussion Group Meets
When: Tuesday March 10th 3 to 4:30 pm
Where: OASIS Room 1
Topic: This will be what I believe is our most outrageous, thought-provoking and hopefully interesting discussion. As always, our discussion will include plenty of videos, and lots of pertinent humor. And discussion. Because this is a discussion group. Hence, we discuss.
FIRST, I will review in a fun and easily understandable way, the scientific theories regarding the evolution of the universe, all 13.8 billion years of it, followed by the origin of earth at 4.6 billion years, followed by the origin of life, and where we are today: Newport Beach. On a Tuesday. In Room 1.
THEN: we will discuss, in a respectful way, how these scientific theories impact ideas about philosophy and religion.
THEN: we will go to El Cholo for Happy Hour, where taquitos are $5.00 on Tuesdays, and we hope to get that one really good table in the middle.
