New York English is a diverse community of fun and friendly people. This group is designed for everyone who wants to improve their English in a fun and casual way. ALL LEVELS of English, from beginner to advanced, are welcome! We create events for each and all levels.
If you join New York English, you will enjoy participating in cultural events and conversation while practicing their English with a native English speaker, who is an experienced, friendly, and patient ESL teacher. We invite you to become a member and immerse yourself in BOTH language and culture, have fun and make tons of friends!
We plan different types of meetups for our members.
• Large informal English conversation events in Manhattan
• Smaller monthly workshops for each level (Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced) that focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and other tricky topics.
• Private movie screenings in English with subtitles and a social/conversation hour
• New York Culture! -- guided museum visits, walking tours, theater, dance, concerts, food and more!
There is a nominal charge (nonrefundable) for each event, primarily in order to discourage no-shows and to defray the cost of organizing meetup events.
