About us

Next Chapter is for welcoming group of 35+ folk who are ready to make the most of their spare time, meet new faces, and see what happens when you say “why not?”

The idea is simple: doing something is often a much easier way to meet people than walking into a room and being expected to make small talk with strangers. So we'll give you something to do—and let the mingling happen naturally. 🙂

Expect a mix of events, from quiet and cultural to active, spontaneous and slightly competitive:
🎶 Gigs & live music
🎭 Theatre & comedy
🍕 Restaurants and food adventures
🏹 Trying something completely new
🚶 Walks, day trips & exploring
🏛️ Museums, exhibitions & cultural events
⚽ Sports, games & a little friendly competition
🍻 And yes, the occasional drink—but this isn't a group built around pub culture!

Have an idea for something you'd love to do? Send it my way! I'm always happy to hear suggestions, and if there's enough interest, I may just turn it into our next Meetup.

### A little note on events

Some activities will be free or pay-as-you-go, while others may require tickets or advance payment. Any ticketed events organised by me will help cover the annual cost of running the Meetup group—so there'll be no Revolut donation requests popping up in your inbox. 😊

So, whether you're looking for something to do this weekend, hoping to meet new people, or simply ready for a bit more adventure... welcome to your Next Chapter. ❤️

Ever fancied yourself as Robin Hood, Katniss Everdeen, Merida, or Legolas?
    Well... here's your chance!
We're heading to Arktor Archery for a 1 hour, Festival Style Archery session where 20 lucky people will learn the basics, play fun games, and (hopefully!) hit something resembling the target.
No experience is needed—all equipment and instruction are provided, so just bring yourself and your competitive spirit.

    THE PLAN
    🏹 3:00pm — Festival Style Archery -> DON'T BE LATE!!
🎯 Learn the basics, take part in coach-led games, and see who has the steadiest aim.
🍻 From 4:15pm — Optional pints at a nearby pub
Because every successful quest deserves a trip to the tavern afterwards.

    IMPORTANT
🏹 Everyone gets a certificate of completion at the end. Please DM me your full name after you've purchased your ticket on Eventbrite!
🎯 Please purchase your ticket from Eventbrite with this link: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/robin-hood-for-a-day-festival-archery-pints-tickets-1997723732461?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-source=up&utm-term=user-profile&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

Whether you're aiming for bullseyes or simply trying not to shoot the ceiling, it should be a brilliant afternoon and a great opportunity to meet new people while trying something a little different.
See you on the shooting line! 🏹
