September Volunteer Opportunity - NextGen Orlando!

Join us for our September Volunteer Day on Wednesday, September 24th at Bell Bank Mortgage! This month, we’re coming together to support Best Buddies by creating friendship bags for students in participating Central Florida schools.

Best Buddies is an incredible program that fosters inclusion and friendship for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These friendship bags will be a small but meaningful way to brighten a student’s day and remind them they are celebrated 💙

We’ll be gathering to assemble the bags as a group, and we’d love for you to bring items to contribute.

Here’s the list of what we’re collecting:

### Snacks & Treats (nut-free / allergy-friendly options are best)

• Granola bars
• Goldfish crackers
• Fruit snacks
• Pretzels
• Rice Krispies Treats
• Applesauce pouches

### Fun School Supplies

• Colorful pens or pencils
• Mini notebooks or journals
• Stickers (fun, inclusive designs)
• Erasers in fun shapes
• Highlighters

### Small Comfort / Fun Items

• Stress balls or squishy toys
• Fidget spinners or fidget cubes
• Friendship bracelets or beads to make them
• Play-Doh mini packs
• Keychains

### Uplifting Touches

• Handwritten encouragement cards
• Bookmarks with positive quotes
• Small art prints or doodles made by volunteers

### Bag Essentials

• Reusable drawstring bag or gift bag to hold everything
