Friday Night Hike - North Mountain

Looking for active, adventurous folks who want to trade sunscreen for headlamps... The Owls are going for a night hike!
This is a short but moderately steep hike totaling 1.7 miles (out and back) with 614 ft of elevation gain. Much of it is a paved road, so overall it is not difficult (techincally) to do after dark. Because this hike is so short, there is room for everyone to go at their own pace and not get far from the group. We'll also be adding an optional bonus trip down to the bottom of the paved road and back to make this hike longer.
Please bring water and a headlamp, though much of the trail is lit by city light pollution and a headlamp is only necessary for a few parts. Dogs are welcome if they are friendly and experienced hikers. Please drop a comment if you plan to bring your dog.
We'll meet at the Trail 44 trailhead ramada (also called the Maricopa Ramada at Area 3) at 6:45pm. (Please note that you must be into North Mountain Park before 7:00pm when the gate closes, but once inside the park is open until 11:00pm.) If interested, we can go out for food / drinks after.
