🏞️ Nine Steps: In the Park
Details
🌳 Slow down. Leave the rush behind. Come sit with something deeper.
Nine Steps: In the Park is a free, recurring gathering in Laurelhurst Park—a refuge of trees, open lawns, winding paths, and a quiet pond in Southeast Portland. We gather without pressure, pretense, or a fixed agenda—just human beings slowing down and showing up honestly beneath the trees.
Whatever is moving through your life, there is room for it here. Maybe you’re in transition. Maybe you’re lonely, curious, inspired, or wondering what comes next. We’ll talk, listen, wander, laugh, reflect, and let the afternoon unfold naturally. No polished version of yourself is expected.
🌿 What to Expect
• A relaxed 2-hour outdoor gathering
• Thoughtful conversation without forced participation
• Space to walk, rest, write, stretch, breathe, or simply listen
• Gentle prompts inspired by the Nine Steps to Home framework
• A welcoming atmosphere for sincerity, curiosity, and real connection
Bring your own comforts, such as water, snacks, a blanket, a notebook, an instrument, or whatever you like. Some days we’ll sit in the grass. Other days we may wander the paths or settle beneath the trees. The gathering is lightly guided, never rigid.
🌎 Who It’s For
• Anyone seeking friendship, reflection, or a stronger sense of belonging
• People exploring healing, spirituality, creativity, or personal growth
• Those who prefer honest conversation over small talk and performance
• Neurodivergent, queer, unconventional, and open-minded humans
• Tender weirdos, wandering philosophers, and love-aliens finding their way Home
🕯️ Hosted by Devid Sword
You’ll be welcomed by Devid—creator of Nine Steps to Home, longtime student of human development, and fellow traveler through the mess of being alive. He’ll offer some structure and help make room for whatever emerges.
