Nivan Community (formerly UX Synergies) is a Chicago-based community bringing together people shaping the future of AI, UX, design, research, customer experience, product, and innovation.
Through in-person events, conversations, workshops, panels, and creative formats, we create space for professionals to exchange perspectives, challenge thinking, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections.
Our community includes designers, researchers, product leaders, technologists, AI practitioners, strategists, and curious minds across industries and career stages.

Portfolio Review + Holiday Social
Nivan Community welcomes you to our holiday gathering: an evening to end the year with a sharper portfolio and a room full of people who get your work.
Portfolio + Social comes in two parts. First, sit down with senior design and research leaders for fast, focused 1:1 reviews of your portfolio, resume, or career story. Then close the laptop and celebrate the season with the community.

How the reviews work
Four to six senior design and research leaders will be stationed around the room. You'll have short 1:1 sessions of 10 to 12 minutes and rotate between reviewers. Most people will meet two or three leaders, so you walk away with several perspectives, not just one opinion. Bring whatever you want feedback on: your portfolio, your resume, how you position your career, or the case study you can't quite get right.
The evening
Doors open at 5:00 PM. Portfolio reviews run from 5:15 PM to about 6:30 PM, then we move into the holiday social with drinks, networking, and good company until 8:00 PM.
What to bring
Your portfolio on a charged laptop or tablet or a link ready to share, your resume as a PDF, and one question you want answered before the new year. WiFi is available at the venue.
🎀 Dress code
Holiday cocktail. Think sequins, shine, and sharp. Cocktail dresses, sparkle, velvet, metallics, or a sharp suit or blazer all fit the mood. It's the last gathering of the year, so dress up and celebrate.🎉 💃
