'Barbecuing Hamlet': FREE, and Lots of Fun! (MONTCLAIR)

Details

"Barbecuing Hamlet" is a hilarious comedy set in a small community theater who has hired a NY director for their production of "Hamlet". She is faced with doing a 5 act tragedy of 60 characters with a cast of 4, all the while making it adhere to the town council's western theme.

All kinds of eccentric characters come out of the woodwork in this riotous tribute to life on the community theater stage.

The UCC Players will present 'Barbecuing Hamlet,' a comedy about a community theater group attempting to stage a serious Shakespearean tragedy, which turns out to be a tragedy of its own.

With fast lines that zip quicker than an arrow from a bard’s bow, exits that could make even the nimblest sprite envious, and a cast of characters as eccentric as a Midsummer Night's Dream, this production is Shakespeare like never imagined.

The play is FREE, but there is an opportunity to donate at the door.
