"Little Shop of Horrors" @ Northern Highlands Regional High School (ALLENDALE)

Join us for a fun and memorable evening at the theater as we attend Little Shop of Horrors at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, New Jersey.

Little Shop of Horrors is a musical comedy that tells the story of Seymour, a shy florist who discovers a mysterious plant that promises fame, fortune, and love—if he can keep up with its unusual and increasingly dangerous appetite. As the plant grows, so do the consequences, leading to a hilariously dark and unforgettable tale filled with heart, humor, and catchy songs.

Originally created as a low-budget film in 1960, Little Shop of Horrors (Jack Nicholson) was later adapted into a stage musical in 1982 by composer Alan Menken (Newsies) and writer Howard Ashman (both of whom also teamed up for The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin). The show quickly became a cult favorite and went on to enjoy international success, including a popular 1986 film adaptation (starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin. The cast also included Bill Murray and John Candy.) Today, it remains one of the most beloved and frequently performed musicals, known for its doo-wop–inspired score and offbeat charm.
