🎭 NJ Christian Singles Outing: "1776" at Plays-in-the-Park!

Join the NJ Christian Singles for a fantastic night of outdoor theater, fellowship, and history brought to life! We are heading to the beautiful open-air Stephen J. Capestro Theatre in Roosevelt Park to catch the closing night performance of the classic Broadway musical, 1776.

Step back into the summer of 1776 as John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson attempt to convince the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence. It’s a brilliant, witty, and moving show, and doing it together under the stars is the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday night!

Time: Meet at 5PM (The box office opens at 5:30 PM, and tickets are sold day-of only—we want to get in line early to secure our spot together!)

🎫 Ticket Details & Logistics
Because Plays-in-the-Park operates strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, there are no advance or online ticket sales.

Price: $8.00 Adults | $5.00 Seniors (60+) | Children 12 and under are free.
Payment: Purchased on-site at the box office on the day of the performance.
Parking: Free parking is available on-site, and Park Rangers will direct you when you arrive.

🎒 What to Bring
Your Own Lawn Chair: This is an open lawn seating venue. Note: Park rules require that chair backs be no higher than 40 inches.
Snacks & Drinks: Feel free to bring a picnic or your favorite movie snacks to enjoy while we wait for the show to start! (Italian ices and snacks are also available for purchase on-site).

A Donation (Optional): The theater partners with REPLENISH to support local food banks. If you're able, please bring a non-perishable food item to donate at the entrance!

✨ Meetup Plan
We will gather near the box office entrance starting at 5PM to buy our tickets together, head inside to set up our lawn chairs as a group, and hang out, chat, and picnic or go grab dinner nearby before the curtains rise at 8:00 PM.
