ROLL CALL! Gay Social of North Jersey, we're taking over the patio at Sushi Lounge in Totowa. Sushi, cocktails, and a whole crew of LGBTQ people who live a lot closer than you realized. Swing by for one drink and a hello, or settle in and order sushi rolls until someone has to cut you off. Both are the correct way to do it.
Flying solo? Perfect. Find our Community Manager, Billy F., who will happily introduce you around and make sure your first time feels like your fifth. You'll leave with new friends and probably strong opinions about spicy tuna.

HAPPY HAUNTING! Our 5th Annual Halloween Party + Costume Contest is taking over Project P.U.B. in Somerville. Five years of Gay Social Halloweens, and somehow the costumes keep getting better and the wigs keep getting more questionable.
Go all out, go clever, or show up in cat ears you found in a drawer 20min before. Every costume level is welcome, but there are prizes on the line, so if you've been sitting on a group costume idea, this is your moment. Drop in after work, grab a drink, and judge everyone's choices silently (or very loudly).
Look for our Community Manager, Alberto Zamora, who will be there to welcome newcomers, make introductions, and help you find your people, even if you can't recognize anyone under the makeup.

Grab your flannel, Warren County. The Mash is back at Man Skirt Brewing in Hackettstown, our LGBTQ meetup named after the brewing step where grain and hot water get together and start something good. Same idea here, just with more queer people and fewer grains. Mix everyone together, give it a few hours, and you've got a great batch.
Come with friends or come alone, most people do their first time. Find our Community Manager, Alex Valvano, who will say hi, make introductions, and will have some suggestions on which beer you should try first. Not drinking? Man Skirt pours a solid lineup of NA options too, so everyone has something in hand.

Reading Between the Lines is a book-centered gathering that brings the LGBTQ community together for thoughtful, group conversation. The book is chosen by past attendees, which helps shape each gathering into something that feels shared and community-driven from the start.
The discussion is open and welcoming, with people jumping in to share thoughts, listen, and connect through different perspectives. You do not need to be a fast reader or have every page finished to feel part of the conversation. Curiosity and openness go a long way here.
Our Community Managers and the owners of Howling Basset Books, welcome newcomers and help guide the discussion so everyone has space to participate.
