What we're about

Hello and welcome to the New Jersey Nature, Landscape and Wildlife Photographers Meetup! Meet other local Digital Photographers who like to get out and do what we love, and to talk about the latest digital gear along with nature, landscape and wildlife photography techniques. This group is for all skill levels, and those interested in meeting up and going on field trips.

While the focus is on nature, landscape and wildlife photography, anyone interested in all aspects of digital photography are welcome! This group is for those who want to learn and share tips, techniques and the joys of nature and landscape photography, in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. In addition, all other subjects for enjoying photography are welcome.

Award-winning author and professional photographer Andrew Darlow became the group's moderator in 2017, with the goal of continuing the work of previous moderators.

If you have questions or comments, please send a message via the Meetup Group's email system to Andrew Darlow, or you can send a note via Andrew's contact page here: http://imagingbuffet.com/contact-us/

He’ll cover camera settings and many useful tips on different topics, including: • Aperture and Shutter Priority (with or without Auto ISO); • How to shoot through glass and chain link fences; • How to get stunning fireworks photos; • How to carry your gear with ease; • Portrait photo techniques and what to say to models or family members to help them look their best; • How to capture sports and wildlife in action, and much more. Many of the tips and techniques covered will be from Darlow’s award-winning and Amazon best selling book, Focus and Filter (Published by Ulysses Press). Each attendee will receive a printed handout to refer to and take notes. EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION BONUS: Register by April 1 and receive a signed 18x24 inch print by Andrew Darlow entitled: “Dalmatian Contemplation” ($35 retail value) at the workshop.
