What we're about

Whether you know what a Lumpy Bumpy and Rollie Polie is or prefer a morning rail trail ride, there’s one thing we all share in common; A love for Mountain Biking! Not all rides are for all skill levels but we will try to get everyone out, riding and having fun!

Though we are not affiliated with JORBA (Jersey Off-Road Bicycle Association) we will often cross link rides. They are a big part of why we have places to ride in NJ so we do what we can to support them.

Mountain Creek Downhill Bike Park

Mountain Creek Bike Park

Exhilarating downhill action! Very little pedaling required; ascend via the skiing/snowboarding lift system :-) Fast, banked turns on many of the corners. Only the intermediate and expert trails have drops and jumps constructed on them, all of which are bypassable. Other "freeride" features include whoops and tabletops. There are also narrow, rocky (albeit improved) s-track trails with minimal/no built-up features. Challenging, but not nearly as physically demanding as Ringwood and Wawayanda, because your bike is always gravity powered. For XC MTB riders that are high intermediates and better. DH MTB bikes are available for rental, which includes full coverage helmets and body armor. If renting equipment, plan on arriving at the resort at least 45 mins earlier than when you plan to board the lift system. Alternatively, if staying on the beginner and intermediate trails, you can use your own dual suspension XC bike (135mm minimum fork travel need) and purchase only a lift ticket. In that case, make sure in advance, that your bike has no brake issues. And remember to bring a spare tube and tools. A full coverage helmet is highly recommended. There are full day and afternoon-only lift tickets available. Cheaper when purchased online instead of at the resort. Consider purchasing your lift ticket online to avoid a delay waiting in a queue at the resort. MCBP's hours of lift operation on Sat 20th are as follows: • Sat and Sun: 11 am - 6 pm Remember to bring water, snacks, tick repellent. We will not ride here on marginal surface conditions. If it's slick, this ride will be cancelled on the night before the scheduled start. So check this web page for updates before leaving home. Car pooling arrangements can be made via posting to this page, or by contacting individual members via Meetup's messaging system. When you're ready to leave home, please post your ETA at this web page. And there is also cellular internet service at the parking lot for communicating via the message board below.
