Nassau
Details
Nassau Trails is a hilly, and VERY quiet woodland; municipal preserve. Trail system is approx 9 miles; entirely s-track; one of the newest in NJ. All of the trails have either been improved or constructed expressly for MTB use. Where rock is minimal it's fast, flowy and convoluted. Where its rocky, its generally straighter. Hairpin switchbacks on its steepest terrain. Built-up features such as: whoops, banked turns, a couple small tabletops, and some very well crafted log skinnies.
Lots of deer here, too :-)
Intermediate level no-drop ride. Stops for recovery and regrouping. Will do some of the looping trails a 2nd/3rd time in alternating directions.
Mountain bike and helmet required. Remember to bring: water, snacks, tick repellent, spare tube. Please, no portable loud music. Parking area has no facilities.
Rain can cause cancellation or rescheduling, so check this web page for updates before leaving home. If you know you're running late, then post at this web page before the meetup time, as there is a 4G cellular internet signal at the parking lot, to check for latecomers.
