NJveg - Vegan Advocacy and Social Events

Join NJveg for a beach cleanup with Surfrider Jersey Shore (thanks to NJveg member Tom P for the suggestion!). Bring gloves and a grabber if you have one. RSVP with Surfrider required to get the specific location. Please also RSVP (here) with NJveg, so we can watch for you. Optional lunch afterward.

Join NJveg for an early spring vegan potluck! Be green and bring reusable place settings (we will have extras). Please review our potluck guidelines. An optional walk (the 117th in NJveg's hiking/walking + vegan dining series) on the Delaware River Heritage Trail will follow. RSVP required.

Join NJveg for a volunteer work day! We’ll be helping the vegan non-profit Ferrets & Friends Sanctuary. We’ll be doing a deep cleaning and power washing of cage trays. We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, work gloves, and clothes that can get dirty. If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online.

Space is very limited, adults only. Please sign up only if you are serious about attending and plan to attend for the full time. If anything comes up and you need to cancel, let us know ASAP, so that we may fill your spot. We’ve had a problem with last minute cancellations – don’t be that person! The address (in Sicklerville, NJ 08081) will be provided privately to volunteers before the event.

The 118th in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will start with an easy hike at Shark River Park (brochure). Meet at the Gully Rd entrance (GPS coordinates 40.201108, -74.081025), NOT the main park entrance. You can park in either the Park’s lot, or (recommended) at the market, which is just 0.2 miles north.

Afterward, we’ll head to the Vegan in NJ Monthly Market (at American Legion Post 346, 21 Gully Rd, Neptune Township, NJ 07753) for dining and shopping. We’ll still attend the market if there’s inclement weather.
