NJveg events include educational outreach, volunteer work days, walks/hikes + vegan dining, vegan potlucks & picnics, gourmet vegan meals, speakers, and more. Volunteer Work Day at Marley Meadows Animal Sanctuary - Atlantic County

Join NJveg for a volunteer work day. We'll be helping the vegan non-profit Marley Meadows Animal Sanctuary. They’ll provide a vegan BBQ afterward! We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray, sunblock, work gloves, work boots, and clothes that can get dirty. If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online.

Children accompanied by parent welcome. Please sign up only if you are serious about attending and plan to attend for the full time. If anything comes up and you need to cancel, let us know ASAP, so that we may fill your spot. We’ve had a problem with last minute cancellations – don’t be that person!

Educational Outreach at West Windsor Community Farmers’ Market – Mercer County

NJveg will answer questions and provide free literature on the benefits of a plant-based life. Come out for an hour, or the entire event. Help spread the word that going vegan saves animals, protects the environment, and improves your health! No experience is necessary. We particularly need help setting up (at 8am) and packing up (to about 1:30pm). Please let us know what times you are available.

The 131st in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will start with a vegan breakfast at vegan-friendly The Supreme Sweets Dessert Shop (621 Beverly Rancocas Rd, Unit 2C, Willingboro). Space is very limited. Please review NJveg’s restaurant trip guidelines, and note that only vegan food may be ordered at our table.

You can get takeout afterward from adjoining vegan restaurant Shokra Soups. Followed by an optional walk at TBD - suggestions welcome!

Walking/Hiking + Vegan Dining - Essex County

How Delish, 55 Kingsley St, West Orange, NJ, US
The 130th in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will be a joint event with the Plant Based Lifestyle – Northern NJ Meetup group. We’ll start with lunch at vegan restaurant How Delish (55 Kingsley St, West Orange 07052). Please review NJveg’s restaurant trip guidelines.

Afterward, we’ll have an optional easy walk/hike on a paved trail at nearby South Mountain Reservation. Park at the Oakdale/Regatta Playground lot on Cherry Ln (GPS coordinates 40.764145, -74.288018). Inclement weather date TBD.
