Walking/Hiking + Vegan Dining - Essex County
How Delish, 55 Kingsley St, West Orange, NJ, USThe 130th in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will be a joint event with the Plant Based Lifestyle – Northern NJ Meetup group. We’ll start with lunch at vegan restaurant How Delish (55 Kingsley St, West Orange 07052). Please review NJveg’s restaurant trip guidelines.
Afterward, we’ll have an optional easy walk/hike on a paved trail at nearby South Mountain Reservation. Park at the Oakdale/Regatta Playground lot on Cherry Ln (GPS coordinates 40.764145, -74.288018). Inclement weather date TBD.

Educational Outreach @Lokai Rose’s Wildheart Fundraising Festival–Passaic County
Camp Hope, 1792 Union Valley Rd, West Milford, NJ, USNJveg will answer questions and provide free literature on the benefits of a plant-based life. Come out for an hour, or the entire event. Help spread the word that going vegan saves animals, protects the environment, and improves your health! No experience is necessary. We particularly need help setting up (around 9am) and packing up (to about 3:30pm). Please let us know what times you are available.

Volunteer Work Day at Elephant Shoes Animal Rescue - Gloucester County
Elephant Shoes Animal Rescue, 161 Piney Ln, Newfield, NJ, USJoin NJveg for a volunteer work day! We’ll be helping the nonprofit Elephant Shoes Animal Rescue. We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray, sunblock, work gloves, work boots, and clothes that can get dirty. If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online.
Age 12 and up. Please sign up only if you are serious about attending and plan to attend for the full time. If anything comes up and you need to cancel, let us know ASAP, so that we may fill your spot. We’ve had a problem with last minute cancellations – don’t be that person!
