Meditation Class in Richmond
Details
We offer a weekly meditation class for the Richmond community emphasizing techniques for training the mind to benefit both ourselves and those around us.
Foundations for a Strong Meditation Practice
In our June classes (June 1st & June 8th) we will take a look at how a sincere and skilled meditation practice provides the opportunity to take a break from distraction, energize and enliven our inner experience, and see even the most challenging of circumstances in a new light.
During this practical and experiential series you will learn the foundations of Buddhist meditation, how to start or recharge your at-home practice, and learn methods for improving and sustaining a healthy meditation habit.
June 1: A New Way of Thinking
June 8: Three Keys to Successful Meditation
June 15: No Class
June 22: No Class
June 29: No Class
Join us for class which consists of Guided Meditation, Buddhist Teachings and Commentary, and time for Questions and Discussion.
Each session stands on its own, so you’re welcome to attend one class or the entire series. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike, these classes offer practical tools you can apply immediately to create more happiness—starting from within.
Everyone is welcome! Our tradition of Buddhism makes no distinctions on the basis of gender, sexuality, race, background, or income. And it doesn't matter if you identify with a different religion. Buddhist teachings can benefit everyone!
