This will be a more interactive event than usual (but still introvert-friendly), with a short design exercise, small-group discussion and voting. We'll get jiggy with designing for vulnerable audiences, and figuring out our ethical boundaries.

“Designing for, and with, vulnerable audiences”

This session will shine a light on inviting vulnerable audiences to join in a co-design process. We’ll look into some methods for participatory and collaborative design that engage and empower people that are very different than ourselves.

Marlies has a background in graphic and digital design. After discovering her passion for service design and social entrepreneurship abroad, she co-founded Twisted Studio, a social service design studio that focuses on projects that help vulnerable people move forward.

"Data and ethics: what kind of society do you want to live in?"

Let’s debate where the ethical boundaries lie in sharing and using consumer information. What's acceptable, what’s not, and why? We’ll pose 4 questions during an interactive session. You’ll debate, vote and share. Don't be afraid to bring your opinions!
