Modern Square Dance Class - Last Chance to Join

Week 2 of our 15-week Beginner Class in Modern Square Dancing is coming up. Still NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Week 1 calls will be reviewed, then we'll go on from there. We've got a great bunch of fine and friendly students so far, but we'd be happy to have more join in the fun.

Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm.
St Andrews United Methodist Church, Palo Alto CA

Total class price is $150 for 15 weeks of classes and practice sessions. (Lessons are cumulative; please try to attend all sessions.)

Modern Square Dancing is a fun way to get some exercise and meet new friends. We learn the names of the basic movements and then do them on the fly to the instructions of a live caller. It's like an adult game of Simon Says with a team of 8 people all going in different directions, in time to a variety of music. You don't have to be a dancer; you just have to follow directions and walk in patterns.

No experience required. No dance skill required. Come on your own or with a partner. Our friendly club members will help you through the whole process!

Classes depend on material learned in previous weeks (except for weeks 1 & 2), so we cannot accept new students after week 2.

Casual dress. Comfortable shoes with soles that aren't too grippy.
