What we’re about
🌦️ There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather – Walking & Hiking Group 🚶♂️🚶♀️
.........Only bad clothing choices.
Weather Warriors welcome!
This is not your typical walking/Hiking group — and that’s very much on purpose. This group is for people who love being outside, who enjoy walking in all seasons, and who understand that weather isn’t something we wait out — it’s something we walk with. Rain, snow, wind, heat, grey skies, sunshine… this is Toronto, and this is the experience. We are weather warriors 🌬️☔❄️🌞 — we show up prepared, adaptable, and ready to move.
Toronto is one of the greenest cities in the world, filled with ravines, neighbourhood routes, parks, trails, and hidden gems. This group will explore 50+ walking and hiking routes across the city, always transit-accessible, always grounded in connection, movement, and shared experience.
Our walks are on the leisure side — not too slow, not too fast — designed for people who want to move their bodies and talk while doing it. This is a social walking group. By the end of a walk, the hope is that you’ve met someone new, shared a conversation, or simply enjoyed being part of a group moving together.
Here’s what makes us different 👇
We don’t cancel walks just because of the weather. Other groups do — we don’t. Walks go ahead rain or shine. Sometimes routes may be adjusted, shortened, or adapted based on conditions, but the expectation is simple: when you sign up, we’re going.
That means this group is best suited for people who:
🌤️ Check the weather before they RSVP
🧥 Know what conditions they’re comfortable walking in
☂️ Dress for the forecast (boots, umbrellas, layers — all welcome)
🧠 Take ownership of their decision to attend
🤝 Understand that an RSVP is a commitment to the group
You are always welcome to:
– Join the group and attend only the walks that suit you
– Decide on the day and show up without RSVPing
– RSVP later once you’re confident the weather meets your needs
What doesn’t work here is signing up in advance and cancelling last-minute because the weather wasn’t what you expected. When people RSVP, others plan around that — routes, pacing, safety, and the shared sense of “we’re doing this together.” That follow-through matters in this group.
Extreme or unsafe conditions (severe cold, extreme heat, dangerous wind) will always be an organizer call. This isn’t about being reckless — it’s about being prepared, realistic, and grounded.
Above all, this is a friendly, respectful, easy-going community. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is treated with care. We also respect boundaries: no unsolicited messages, no pressure, no assumptions. Connection happens naturally, on the walk.
If you’re looking for a walking group that embraces the seasons, values commitment, and believes that showing up — in life and in weather — is kind of the point… you’re in the right place 🌲👣

🎆❄️ New Year’s Day Walk: Toronto Island!
Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, 11 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON, CA🎆❄️ New Year’s Day Walk: Toronto Island
Walk off the hangover. Start fresh. Do something different.
Let’s be real — January 1st can go one of two ways:
You stay on the couch all day… or you step outside, breathe in fresh air, move your body, and actually start the year feeling good.
Join us for a New Year’s Day walk on Toronto Island — the perfect way to reset after the night before, try something new, and maybe even make a few new friends while you’re at it. Yes, I will be hungover. That’s why we’re starting at 1:15 PM 😏🍾
Being surrounded by water and nature can be surprisingly calming. The Islands offer a quiet place to slow down, clear your head, and start the year feeling grounded — no mystical claims, just fresh air and space to think.
Whether you’re setting healthy intentions, shaking off the fog, or just refusing to let January win — this walk is for you.
“There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.”
So layer up, grab your warmest coat, and let’s make January 1st a choice, not a write-off ❄️💪
Miss this and your New Year officially starts on January 2nd. Just saying.

Spadina Station, 7 Spadina Rd, Toronto, ON, CA❄️🚶♂️ JANUARY WALK: SPADINA ➡️ WATERFRONT + LUNCH & DAY DRINKING 🍔🍹
Because winter doesn’t scare us — we scare winter.
“There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.”
So layer up, grab your cutest toque, and let’s make January our personality 😏
Join us for a city walk through some of Toronto’s most iconic neighbourhoods, ending with lunch, drinks, and that smug feeling you get when you actually leave the house in winter. Miss this and your January will officially be beige. FOMO will be real.
***
### THE WALK 🗺️✨
We’ll start at Spadina Station and head south, soaking up the city one fabulous step at a time.
• Kensington Market 🛍️ – over 100 years of history, culture, and vibes. From its roots as a Jewish market to the many immigrant communities that shaped it, this place is Toronto’s heartbeat.
• Chinatown 🏮 – now home to many Asian communities, buzzing with markets, food, and energy.
• Graffiti Alley 🎨 – yes, world-famous. Iconic murals, photoshoot moments, and peak Toronto cool.
• Mueseum of Toronto 🖼️ - This is free a mueseum - Mr. Dressup to Degrassi: 42 Years of Legendary Toronto Kids TV
• The Well 🏗️ – shiny, new, and very “Toronto glow-up.”
• Crumbl Cookies 🍪 – because walking burns calories and we deserve happiness.
• Waterfront 🌊 – fresh air, winter drama, and main-character energy.
After the walk, we’ll head for lunch and drinks at a local spot.
Did someone say day drinking??? 👀🍹

❄️🚶♀️ EXPLORATION WALK OF YORKVILLE & U of T — 6KM 🎓✨
Rosedale Subway Station, 7 Crescent Road, Toronto, ON, CA❄️🚶♀️ EXPLORATION WALK: YORKVILLE & U OF T – 6 KM 🎓🏙️
Because winter is temporary… but missing this walk is forever.
“There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.”
So layer up, zip up, and let’s romanticize January like true Torontonians 😌❄️
This walk explores two parts of the city that started out the same — and then went in completely different directions. One got glitzier. One stayed timeless. Both are very walkable, dramatic, and worth showing up for.
***
### THE WALK 🗺️✨
We’ll start and end at Rosedale Subway Station, making a glorious winter loop.
• Rosedale Park 🌳 – quiet, elegant, and shockingly peaceful.
• Yorkville 💎 – once wealthy, then a hippie coffee-shop haven, and now one of the richest neighbourhoods in the city. Full-circle glow-up.
• University of Toronto 🏛️ – once reserved for Toronto’s elite, now open to everyone. Unlike Yorkville, it’s beautifully frozen in time, with historic buildings that haven’t changed much — except for the degrees inside them.
• Bamboo Forest at U of T 🎋 – we’ll try to sneak a peek if it’s open (because mystery is part of the fun).
☕ WARM-UP BREAK:
We’ll make a 30-minute stop at Tim Hortons to thaw our fingers, grab food and drinks, and question why winter feels personal.
***
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES
• Do NOT sign up if you’re not ready to walk in winter ❄️
• This walk happens in snow, cold, wind, or vibes
• Event will only be cancelled if it hits -20°C (because we are sensible, not soft)

Historical Plaque - Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 1639 Yonge St, Toronto, ON, CA# ❄️🥾Mount Pleasant Cemetery Winter Walk
### Toronto’s Most Peaceful Winter Walk
Join me for a gentle 90-minute winter stroll through one of Toronto’s most beautiful hidden gems — Mount Pleasant Cemetery. This isn’t just a cemetery — it’s like walking through a living museum and botanical garden, full of winding paths, tall evergreens, and peaceful charm.
It’s also one of the best places in the city to meet friendly people, share good conversation, and soak in the quiet magic of winter.
💫 Did you know?
When Mount Pleasant first opened in 1876, it was a Victorian-day destination! Torontonians would dress up, hop on a streetcar, and spend the day here picnicking and strolling before heading back downtown.
