# 🍁 Fall Hike: Long Branch GO to Port Credit GO

Join us for a scenic lakeside hike along the beautiful Waterfront Trail, from Long Branch GO Station to Port Credit GO Station!
We’ll explore a mix of parks, beaches, and tree-lined paths, taking in the crisp autumn air, colourful leaves, and classic Lake Ontario views. This is the first time our group has done this particular route, so come along and help us welcome the fall season!

We’ll take our time, with stops for photos, snacks, and conversation along the way. This is a social hike rather than a race, but please be prepared to walk for a few hours. We’ll finish in Port Credit, where we’ll take the GO train back toward Toronto.

### 🚆 Meetup Details — Choose Your Starting Point

Option 1: Meet in Toronto and travel together
📍 Meeting location: Outside the main doors of the Fairmont Royal York on Front Street West.

• 10:15 AM: Meet outside the hotel. Look for my Moose Hat! 🦌
• 10:30 AM sharp: We’ll leave for the station.
• 10:45 AM: Planned train departure.

Please arrive on time. We cannot hold the train for latecomers, and once we’ve left, you’ll need to make your own way to the starting point if you miss us.

Option 2: Meet us at Long Branch GO Station

📍 Meeting location: Long Branch GO Station, by the station exit closest to the parking lot.

This is our starting point for the hike. Please meet me by that exit and look for the Moose Hat! 🦌

• Around 11:00 AM: Arrive and find the group.
• 11:15 AM: We’ll begin the walk.

Please use the specified exit rather than waiting elsewhere around the station. We had some confusion with the meeting point previously, so make sure you know where to find us.
Important: This is a point-to-point hike. We’ll finish at Port Credit GO Station, not Long Branch. We will not walk back to Long Branch.

### 🥾 The Walk

We’ll follow the Waterfront Trail through a mix of waterfront scenery, parks, beaches, and paths. We’ll take occasional breaks for photos, snacks, and conversation, with time to enjoy the views and each other’s company.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for a few hours on your feet. Bring your own water and snacks; you’re welcome to bring something extra to share.

### 🚆 Getting Back

We expect to start wrapping up around 2:00 PM, with our destination being Port Credit GO Station.

We’ll take the GO train from Port Credit toward Toronto. Please check the GO schedule for the event date before attending. Not every train necessarily stops at Long Branch, so do not assume you can take the train back there to retrieve a car. If you’re driving and parking at Long Branch, check your return options in advance.

GO train fares are additional. Check the current fare for your journey.

### 🎒 What to Bring

• Water
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Snacks or something small for our breaks
• A camera or phone for the fall colours
• Weather-appropriate clothing

• This event is weather-dependent only if conditions make the walk unsafe. Keep an eye on the event page for any updates or cancellation notices.
• You’re welcome to leave early, but please let me know so I know you’ve left the group.
• If you’re joining at Long Branch, make sure you use the station exit closest to the parking lot.
• This is a one-way walk ending at Port Credit. Please plan your transportation accordingly.
