# Toronto’s Newest Ravine Trail, Autumn Scenery & Fresh-Baked Cookies!

Did you join us for our last East Don Trail adventure? People had such a great time, and there was plenty to talk about afterward! Now that fall is here, we’re heading back to enjoy the trail in autumn.
Join us as we explore the East Don Trail, one of Toronto’s newest additions to its incredible ravine system.

This beautiful route follows the East Don River through peaceful forests, wetlands, and scenic valley landscapes, connecting communities that were once separated.
If you’ve walked the Lower Don Trail, this is a different experience.

Expect quieter pathways, river views, new bridges, and the feeling of discovering another corner of Toronto that many people have yet to explore.

Most of the route is paved and relatively easy to walk. Just one warning: what goes down must come up! 😄

The final section includes a fairly steep hill, so you should be comfortable tackling a good climb near the end.
And the best part? We’ll finish with a couple of optional stops for coffee, baked goods, and cookies!

## 🚶‍♂️ What We’ll Do

We’ll meet outside Broadview Subway Station before making our way into the Don Valley to explore the East Don Trail.

Along the way, we’ll:
🌿 Walk beside the East Don River
🌉 Cross bridges and follow scenic pathways
🍂 Enjoy the ravine scenery and fall colours
📸 Stop for photos and conversation
☕ Visit Circles & Squares Bakery Café near the end of the trail
🍪 Continue to the Peak Freans Cookie Outlet for discounted cookies and treats

Both stops afterward are optional. At Circles & Squares Bakery Café, you can grab a quick coffee or something baked, or stay a little longer if you’d like. You’re welcome to join us for the cookie outlet afterward, or make your own plans.

We’ll finish at Coxwell Subway Station via TTC bus. This is a one-way walk, so we will not be returning to Broadview Station.

## 🍁 Weather & Expectations

This walk happens rain or shine unless severe weather makes it unsafe.
The trail is mostly paved and relatively easy, but there is one fairly steep hill near the end. Please come prepared for that final climb and wear comfortable walking shoes.

This is a social walk, not a guided historical tour. We’re here to enjoy the scenery, have conversations, and explore one of Toronto’s newest green spaces together.
