About us
Our primary mission is to build a dance community that is focused on sharing the joy and benefits of dance here in Northern Colorado. The organizers of NoCo Swing Dance are all volunteers and all of the proceeds from our events go towards building the dance community and towards future dance events. One of our primary goals is to make our dances accessible and affordable to all. We would not be able to do this without volunteers to help us with our events and in meeting many of the challenges that a small but growing community faces. As a community we are always looking for feedback and we would like to encourage others whether you are a beginner or advanced dancer to join us.

Feb Progressive Classes (4-week series) - Intro to Swing/Intro to Charleston
Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E Willow St, Fort Collins, co, USOur Progressive Lessons continue in February at the Northside Aztlan Community Center.
This series will start on February 4th and will run until January 25th.
We will be offering an Introduction to Swing Dancing class from 6:30-7:30 and Introduction to Charleston from 7:30-8:30.
Because this is a four-week series, we will be charging $40 for one progressive series. That averages out to about $10 a class! If you would like to take both classes we will be offering the second class at 1/2 price.
We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance ) or cash or check on or before the first night of the class. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at nocoswingdance@gmail.com.
6:30 PM - Introduction to Lindy with Kali.
This class will be focusing on basic 6 count footwork, lead follow connection and introducing a number of moves to start you on your swing dance journey. This is the perfect class if you are just starting out and/or have not partnered dance in a while.
7:30 PM - Introduction to Chareleston wth Paul and Olivia.
Charleston is a fun high energy form of swing dancing that gained popularity over 100 years ago as a solo dance. Over time it evoled into a partner dance and it is is considered a fundamnetal component of Lindy Hop.
One of the really fun aspects of this dance is that you can easily go from the Lindy Hop moves that you already know intoc Charleston and then back to Lindy.
This will be a beginner friendly class.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a very beginner friendly community, and we absolutely love new dancers.
No partner is ever needed.

Swing Your Valentine Dance featuring Zizania Swing.
Club Tico, 1599 City Park Drive, Fort Collins, CO, USWe are so excited to be having our Valentine's dance at Club Tico this year. This beautiful venue with plenty of parking located in Old Town Fort Collins not far from the city center.
We are even more excited to be having one of our favorite local bands Zizania Swing!
Because this is a Live Band Night we will be charging $15 for the evening.
This includes an introduction to swing or intermediate level swing dance lesson starting at 6:00 and dancing until 10:00.
Doors open at 6:00 and our lessons will begin shortly after the doors open.
No partner is ever needed and no experience is required.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a non-profit organization and all of the funds that we take in go directly towards our events.
