What we’re about
Our primary mission is to build a dance community that is focused on sharing the joy and benefits of dance here in Northern Colorado. The organizers of NoCo Swing Dance are all volunteers and all of the proceeds from our events go towards building the dance community and towards future dance events. One of our primary goals is to make our dances accessible and affordable to all. We would not be able to do this without volunteers to help us with our events and in meeting many of the challenges that a small but growing community faces. As a community we are always looking for feedback and we would like to encourage others whether you are a beginner or advanced dancer to join us.

Come dance with us every 2nd and 4th Friday!
We have a beginner swing dance lesson from 6:00-7:00 followed by a swing dance until 10:00. The swing dance beginner swing dance lesson is included with the $5 or what you can afford cost of admission.
Our 2nd and 4th Friday dances are located at the historic Masonic Temple Event Center Ballroom! (Northwest Corner door entrance, in the basement).
The Masonic Temple Event Center Shoe Policy - Only clean, non-marking shoes are permitted. Please thoroughly clean the soles of the shoes that you will be using for dancing, and carry them in. Then change in the lobby so that no grit and dirt is tracked in from the outside.
All are welcome!
We are a very beginner friendly dance community and absolutely love new dancers.
No partner is ever needed!

We have had many requests to once again teach the Shim Sham and we decided that this would be a great opportunity to do just that. Oh, and to make it even more fun, if time permits, we plan to also introduce the St. Louis Shim Sham version as well. Sophia has been a driving force to make this happen and will be leading the class. Thank you Sophia!
The class will start at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.
We will be charging $10 or what you can afford for this lesson. If you already know the basic Shim Sham feel free to join us for the first hour. As always donations are always appreciated but once again the primary mission of NoCo Swing Dance is to share the joy and benefits of swing dancing.

We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance) or cash or check on or before the first night. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at contact@nocoswingdance.com. We would like to know if you would like to lead or follow and which class you would like to attend.
No dance experience and/or partner is ever required for any of our events!
