About us
Our primary mission is to build a dance community that is focused on sharing the joy and benefits of dance here in Northern Colorado. The organizers of NoCo Swing Dance are all volunteers and all of the proceeds from our events go towards building the dance community and towards future dance events. One of our primary goals is to make our dances accessible and affordable to all. We would not be able to do this without volunteers to help us with our events and in meeting many of the challenges that a small but growing community faces. As a community we are always looking for feedback and we would like to encourage others whether you are a beginner or advanced dancer to join us.

July Progressive Classes (4-week series) - Intro to Swing/Intro to Lindy Hop.
Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E Willow St, Fort Collins, co, USOur Progressive Lessons continue in July at the Northside Aztlan Community Center.
This series will start on Wednesday, July 1st and will run until Wedenesday, July 22nd.
We will be offering an Introduction to Swing Dancing class from 6:30-7:30 and Introduction to Balboa class from 7:30-8:30.
We are excited that Kali and Ron will be teaching this month's classes.
Because this is a four-week series, we will be charging $40 for one progressive series. That averages out to about $10 a class! If you would like to take both classes we will be offering the second class at 1/2 price.
We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance ) or cash or check on or before the first night of the class. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at nocoswingdance@gmail.com.
6:30 PM - Introduction to Swing with Kali and Ron.
This class will be focusing on basic 6 count footwork, lead follow connection and introducing a number of moves to start you on your swing dance journey. This is the perfect class if you are just starting out and/or have not partnered dance in a while.
This will be a beginner friendly class.
7:30 PM - Introduction to Lindy Hop with Kali and Ron.
Have you ever wanted to learn Lindy Hop? Now's your chance. In July we will be teaching the basic eight count footwork along with swing out from closed, swing out from open and a Lindy circle. Our primary goal for the class is for everyone to feel comfortable with eight count footwork and to comfortably be able to "swing out".
This will be a beginner friendly class.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a very beginner friendly community, and we absolutely love new dancers.
No partner is ever needed.

The Jazz Section at Avo's.
Avogrado's Number, 605 S Mason Street, Fort Collins, CO, USOur favorite Fort Collins Band, The Jazz Section, will be playing the outside patio at Avo's on Thursday July 2nd.
Tickets will be $15 online ahead of time and at the door.

An Evening of Swing featuring The Olde Town Swing Band.
The Exchange, 200 N. College Avenue, Fort Collins, CO, USJoin us at The Old Town Churn/Little Man Ice Cream every Saturday night throughout the summer for Swing Dancing & Live Music from 6:30-9:00 PM.
Learn the basics during dance lessons from 6:30-9:00 PM. If you are interested in the lesson, please meet us by the sound system at 6:30. After the lesson you can Swing the night away to live music from 7:00-9:00PM.
The Exchange is "the perfect fusion of family-friendly leisure and liveliness." Bring the family, grab some dinner, ice cream and have some swingin’ fun!
