April Progressive Classes (4-week series) - Intro to Swing/Intermediate Lindy

Our Progressive Lessons continue in April at the Northside Aztlan Community Center.

This series will start on April 1st and will run until April 29th.

We will be offering an Introduction to Swing Dancing class from 6:30-7:30 and Intermediate Lindy Hop from 7:30-8:30.

We are excited that Sophia and Eicke will be teaching this month's classes.

Because this is a four-week series, we will be charging $40 for one progressive series. That averages out to about $10 a class! If you would like to take both classes we will be offering the second class at 1/2 price.

We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance ) or cash or check on or before the first night of the class. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at [nocoswingdance@gmail.com](mailto:nocoswingdance@gmail.com).

6:30 PM - Introduction to Swing with Sophia and Eicke.

This class will be focusing on basic 6 count footwork, lead follow connection and introducing a number of moves to start you on your swing dance journey. This is the perfect class if you are just starting out and/or have not partnered dance in a while.

This will be a beginner friendly class.

7:30 PM - Intermediate Lindy Hop with Sophia and Eicke.

Lindy Hop is a partner dance that originated in Harlem in the 1920's and it is currently danced around the world. Lindy Hop is made up of both 6 and 8 count moves and it is considered a truly american dance. This class will focus on reviewing footwork along with introducing a number of more advanced Lindy Hop moves.

Ideally students will have some familiarity with 8 count footwork, swing outs and lindy circles.

Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a very beginner friendly community, and we absolutely love new dancers.

No partner is ever needed.
