Let's learn all about the LightBlue Bean (https://punchthrough.com/bean-plus) from Nadine Hachouche (https://twitter.com/nadinefarah)! Nadine works at Punch Through (https://punchthrough.com/), the makers of the Bean, as a software engineer and community manager.
The Bean is a bluetooth enabled Arduino compatible device. It comes with a built-in battery, accelerometer, temperature sensor, and lots of IO. It's a great device for doing remote sensor work, and is compatible with Johnny-Five (http://johnny-five.io/platform-support/#lightblue-bean)!
This event is beginner friendly! If you've never worked with hardware before, then have no fear. We will have people on hand to teach you all you need to know to get your first light to blink.
