This is a book club for Millennial and Gen X women in the St. Pete area. It's intended for women who want to learn from other women whose political beliefs differ from their own, to improve their own understanding of "the other side". I'll attempt to create a roughly even balance of liberal-leaning and conservative-leaning women, although of course many people won’t fit neatly into either of those categories.

We’ll meet from March through September, on the third Saturday of each month, at 1pm, at restaurants around St. Pete.

This series is a mix of two types of books. The first is a grab-bag of my favorite books on political or social issues related to women, or books on those topics I’ve been wanting to read. (There will be an ideological slant in the book selection based on what I’m personally interested in, but you’re welcome to join regardless of your own views.) The second is a handful of books about building good relationships with people of differing political beliefs and cultural backgrounds.

If sign-ups result in a strong skew either toward the liberal or conservative viewpoint, I’ll do outreach to recruit more members for the minority side to balance it out.
