We'll use this route posted on Dirty Freehub: Route update map: Oregon Outback ‘Reimagined’ - https://dirtyfreehub.org/routes/oregon/oregon-outback-reimagined/
Its around 400 miles from Klamath Falls, OR to the Columbia River confluence with the Deschutes River. 100% ridable mostly unpaved roads, all along the eastern side of the Cascades. Planning on 8 days of riding mix of paved and unpaved roads, but 70% unpaved. Average 50 miles/day.
On this beautiful backcountry bike tour we’ll ride to enjoy the scenery, camping, make steady-freddy daily progress while promoting comradery at a moderate pace, putting group safety first, no injuries, and staying together for mutual aid and safety.
Participants must have prior experience in last 12 months riding unpaved roads on a multi-day self-contained loaded mountain or gravel bike with low touring gears, and prior experience with safe remote backcountry travel either multi-day backpacking, cycling, or multi-day backcountry ski touring/snow camping.
