Learn from the industry experts about the criticality of practicing Chaos Engineering, the key challenges faced and the solutions that resulted in resilient service infrastructure and applications at some of these leading organizations.

Pablo S. Torralba - Engineering Manager, SRE at Google

Pablo manages a virtual team across Sunnyvale and New York City composed of DBEs, SREs and System Administrators focused on delivering infrastructure and providing site reliability engineering (SRE) support to enterprise databases within Google, powering key verticals such as Finance, Legal, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR. Their mission is to deliver service excellence with engineering (SRE), innovation and customer focus and to transform Google's enterprise domain.

Balaji Ramaswamy - Director, Cloud Infrastructure at LinkedIn

Balaji is Director of Cloud Infrastructure & Application Reliability Engineering (CARE) at LinkedIn. He manages and leads the team that focuses on powering infrastructure and enterprise applications at scale in Azure and data centers across the globe. Balaji primarily focuses on enhancing enterprise productivity at LinkedIn.

Eddie Bernard - Director, Site Reliability Engineering at Adobe

Eddie has been with Adobe for 15 years and has been involved with most of Adobe’s “software as a service” solutions spanning Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud. He is currently the SRE leader for the Adobe Experience Platform, a modernized approach to the delivery of all services under Adobe Experience Cloud. While most of his current team is located in the Bay Area, he currently resides in Colorado. While not cat-herding professionally (sorry Olympic committee, he’s giving up his amateur status), he enjoys the outdoors and any location that has a warm beach with good waves.

Haley Tucker - Sr. Software Engineer, Resilience Engineering at Netflix

Haley is a member of the Resilience Engineering team at Netflix where she is responsible for improving the resiliency of Netflix services to ensure that customers always enjoy their favorite shows. Prior to that, she worked on the Playback Features team where she was responsible for ensuring customers receive the best possible viewing experience every time they click play. Her services filled a key role in enabling Netflix to stream amazing content to more than 118M members on thousands of devices worldwide.

Vijay Ramu - Engineering Manager, Resiliency and Performance at Walmart Labs

Vijay is an Engineering Manager for Performance and Resiliency team at Walmart Labs. His team is building resiliency tools that provide visibility into deployments (HA/DR) and a tool to inject failures. His team also built a fully distributed Kubernetes native performance testing tool that is helping other engineering teams within Walmart for holiday readiness.

Aaron Nasi - Security Manager, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery at Twilio

Aaron began his career analyzing complex human systems as an Army Intelligence Officer and has since transitioned to ensuring the resilience of complex businesses and tech systems. For the past year Aaron has been leading the disaster recovery team at Twilio. This team partners with resilience engineers across the organization to test Twilio’s ability to handle large-scale failure gracefully. Aaron is the Summer 2015 Cornhole Champion of Hurley, WI and still tosses the bags from time to time.
