Watching Wildlife Hike: Fair Oaks Bluffs to River Beach-Optional Picnic

Details
Begin your morning by enjoying panoramic views of the river, the American River Parkway and far beyond at the top of Fair Oaks Bluffs. Stop briefly at Fair Oaks Bridge to learn its history, look for turtles swimming and sunbathing, and listen to bird greeting you with good morning songs. Walk to the boat launch ramp to see morning wake up rituals of ducks and Canada Geese. You may see an Egret, Great Blue Heron, gulls or a Cormorant fly in for a short visit. Begin our easy 4 mile walk on the bike trail past the labyrinth, prime viewing areas for the fall salmon run and end at the beach for relaxation and water play and optional picnic lunch. Please see [Naturelegacies.com](http://naturelegacies.com/) to get more information about what we will see. Don't forget your hiking shoes, plenty of water, bathing suit if you want to get wet and picnic lunch if you are going to hang out at the river.
