Let's head out on this 3-connecting trail loop near Cool, California. It is a moderately challenging 5-mile route, with scenic views and plenty of picture taking opportunities. Roaming through both open terrain and wooded areas, this trail has an elevation range of 762ft. Well behaved dogs that get along well with other dogs are welcome. We will wait 5 minutes before starting.

Meet at the Auburn State Park Kiosk on Old Foresthill Rd. Parking areas are well marked and cost $10, or Poppy Pass. There is free parking off of Hwy 49/Old Foresthill Rd near the American River Bridge. Then allow 5 mins walk to the Auburn State Park Kiosk.
